Our Last Days

Final exams have significantly contributed to the lack of blog posts.  Now that I've found a moment to breathe, I thought I'd do a quick update.

I'm in Tucson for the summer.  Most of the summer, at least.  I'm sure I wont be able to resist a few trips up to Rexburg during the next three months.  I'm running the half at the Dam Marathon with friends in June and I also have my own bachelorette party to attend up there, so I have at least two excuses to go visit other than missing Roy to death.

I DO already miss him to death.  Our last week together was fun, though.  Andrea and Kenny threw us a going away party.  For the summer Roy was going to Rexburg, I was going to Tucson, and Carson and Shellena were going to San Diego.  Since we wont all be together in Provo again until August, we played bocci ball

and... the guys did yoga?

And since there are no "going away" party decorations, Andrea provided us with birthday stuff.  We each got to blow out a candle and make a wish for the summer.  Mine was that this summer will go by FAST!

We also found time to get Roy sized for his tux.  Yahoo!

And as a last hurrah with my awesome roommates and some friends, we went on a hike up Rock Canyon.  Sad, our last hike in forever!
After I finally finished exams, I left for Rexburg.  I spent a few days there before making the 17 hour drive home, soaking up every last moment that I had with Roy.  Plus, hanging out with the girls was a blast.  I miss them so much already!  I even miss sleeping on their couch.  But more than anything I miss Roy.

I'm failing at trying not to whine about the separation, but at least I am confident that we can make it through.  We've done it before, and this time we don't have an entire ocean separating us.

Miss him!

We're ReGiStEReD!

This weekend Roy and I tackled registering.  At Target we got to run around with those little scanner guns, which was probably more fun than it should have been.  A few times I had to take the gun away from Roy so he wouldn't "go crazy" and a few times he had to take the gun away from me.  But both PotteryBarn and Walmart were done online, which was nice and relaxing.
Preparing for a wedding is fun! :-)

If you're curious, CHECK OUT OUR REGISTRY PAGE by clicking there, or look under "Our Wedding Links"

P.S. If we are registered for any candy, don't get it!!  Haha!

Reason to Celebrate

I got it from my mom.  I LOVE even the smallest holidays.
Here's a quick rundown:
St. Patrick's Day!
Proof that not EVERYTHING I do in the kitchen is a complete failure.  These are "Those Potatoes"– a family favorite.  If you've ever eaten these before, this picture is probably making your mouth water... despite the festive green.
Proof that Roy was made for me: it was his idea to try green french toast.

April Fool's Day is high on my list of favorites.  Now, I've been told I'm not allowed to put up any pictures from this day.  But I DO have pictures.  And they ARE hilarious.
Filling Sarah's umbrella with pink Easter grass was just the beginning, but she thought it was the end.  She never expected what was coming next!
I was getting ready for school when I heard Sarah screaming from the bathroom.  MUAHAHA!  I had filled the top half inch her deodorant with cream cheese and sculpted it with my finger until it looked exactly like the rest of the stick.  It was perfect!
When I went in there the first thing I saw was the chunky cream cheese smeared all over her armpit.  She was tangled up in her jacket, trying to keep the sticky white from touching her clothes.
Hahaha- it was my favorite April Fool's joke ever!  Other little pranks included coloring Cassidy's milk an off-green color, so that she would think it had gone bad.  (She always thinks her milk has gone bad.)  Oh, and I filled her bed with pink packing peanuts so that when she jumped under the covers for a good night's sleep she'd get a little Styrofoamy surprise.
Roy got off pretty lucky this year... but that's becacuse there are so many more to come :-)
Easter was fun!  It was Conference weekend, and we spent Saturday morning at Carson and Shellena's eating breakfast with a big group.  Then we went with Leah to the afternoon session in Salt Lake.  Man- it's always good to be there.  But Sunday it was mostly just Roy and I, and we had fun!  We decorated eggs and then hid them for Carson and Shellena and also some at my apartment for my roommates.  They are STILL finding them.  :-p
